Starting April 15, 2026, Cloudways is updating the Billing page interface to improve navigation and make it easier for you to manage all billing-related information in one place.

This change reorganizes several sections of the My Account area into a single Billing section with clear sub-pages.

Important:

No action is required on your part – the interface will update automatically. This article will guide you through what’s changing, how to find the new pages, and what each section includes.

Upcoming Cloudways Billing Updates - What’s Changing?

All billing-related pages are being consolidated under a new “Billing” section for easier access. The table below maps the current navigation (before April 15) to the new navigation structure (after the update):

Current Navigation (My Account)

New Navigation (Effective April 15, 2026)

Description of the New Page

Real-Time Billing

Billing → Overview

Billing Overview provides an at-a-glance view of your account’s billing status. It shows your estimated month-to-date usage, any overdue balance, and available prepayments (funds). This information is updated daily so you can track your charges in near real-time.

Payment & Address

Billing → Settings

Billing Settings is where you manage all billing details. Here you can add or update your billing address, add or manage payment methods (including credit cards or PayPal), update tax/VAT information, and configure Billing Alerts (a new feature) to notify you when your usage exceeds a specified threshold.

Invoices

Billing → Billing History

Billing History is a comprehensive ledger of your account transactions. In this page, you can view all past and current invoices, payments made, and any prepayments (Funds) you’ve added. It combines what used to be the invoices list and funds transactions, so all billing history is in one place.

Funds (Available Funds & Credits)

Billing → Billing History (Funds)

Billing → Credits & Discounts (Credits)

Funds that you deposit (prepaid amounts) will now appear as transactions in the Billing History page (alongside invoices). Credits & Discounts, a new page under Billing, shows any promotional credits or referral credits on your account, along with their usage and expiry details. This separates your own added funds from Cloudways-provided credits for clarity.

As shown above, pages that were previously scattered under My Account (such as Real-Time Billing, Payment & Address, Invoices, and Funds) will now be found under the Billing menu.

This reorganization is designed to streamline your experience by grouping all billing functions in one section.

New Billing Page Sections

Below is a breakdown of each new sub-section under the Billing page, including what you will find there and how to access it in the Cloudways platform interface. Each section corresponds to an item in the new navigation (effective April 15, 2026).

You can access these by logging into your Cloudways platform, clicking on your profile name (top-right corner), selecting My Account, and then clicking on Billing.

Inside the Billing section, use the tabs or menu items to navigate to Overview, Settings, Billing History, or Credits & Discounts as needed.

Billing → Overview

This is the new Billing Overview page, which replaces the old “Real-Time Billing” section. It provides a snapshot of your current billing status. On this page, you can quickly see:

  • Month-to-date Usage – an estimate of your current month’s charges so far (updated daily).

  • Overdue Balance – any unpaid amount from previous billing cycles, if applicable.

  • Prepayments (Funds) – any funds you’ve added to your account in advance (these will be applied toward future invoices automatically).

This Overview page is updated on a daily basis, so it’s useful for keeping track of your ongoing usage and charges without waiting for the monthly invoice.

If you had been using Real-Time Billing before, this is where you will find that information now.

Billing → Settings

The Billing Settings page consolidates all settings related to billing (previously the “Payment & Address” section). On this page, you can manage or update the following details:

  • Billing Address – your company or personal address used for invoices.

  • Payment Methods – your saved payment information. You can add multiple credit cards or a PayPal account here (with the update, multiple payment methods are supported).

  • Tax Information – any VAT or tax ID details for invoicing purposes.

  • Billing Alerts – a new feature that lets you set up email notifications when your monthly usage reaches a certain threshold. You can configure alert thresholds (for example, to be notified when you exceed a chosen spending amount in the month) and enable/disable these alerts as needed.

How to access Billing Settings: Click on your profile > My Account > Billing > Settings. This will open the page where you can perform all the above actions.

For instance, if you need to update your credit card or add a backup payment method, you would do it here under Payment Methods in the Billing Settings.

Billing → Billing History

The Billing History page is your go-to record for all billing transactions, replacing the old “Invoices” page (and incorporating information that was previously on the “Funds” page). This section includes:

  • Invoices – a list of all invoices generated for your account (including the invoice number, date, amount, and status of payment).

  • Payments – records of payments that have been made toward invoices (including the method used).

  • Funds Transactions – any prepaid funds you have added to your account (with dates and amounts). These were previously shown under the Funds section; now they appear chronologically in your billing history for better transparency.

Using this page, you can easily review past invoices or confirm that a payment was applied.

For example, if you added $100 in funds to prepay your account, you will see that entry here, and subsequent invoices will show payments drawn from those funds.

Note: With the new UI, all transactions are in one place, so you no longer need to check a separate “Funds” page for your deposits – it’s all listed in the Billing History.

Billing → Credits & Discounts

Credits & Discounts is a new addition to the Billing section. This page is dedicated to any promotional credits, referral bonuses, or discounts that have been applied to your account by Cloudways.

On this page, you can find:

  • Promotional Credits – e.g., credits from special offers or promotions (with details on how much credit remains and when it expires).

  • Referral Credits – if you earned credits by referring others to Cloudways, those will be listed here as well.

  • Credit Usage Details – you can see how these credits have been applied to your invoices (e.g., if a $20 credit was used toward a particular month’s bill).

  • Expiry Dates – if any credit has an expiration, it will be noted here so you can be aware of using them before they expire.

Previously, information about credits was combined with the Funds page. Now, by separating it into Credits & Discounts, Cloudways makes it clearer what portion of your balance is from Cloudways-given credits versus funds you added yourself.

This page helps you keep track of any free credits and how they are impacting your billing.

Do I Need to Do Anything?

No – there is no action required from you. This UI update will be applied automatically on April 15, 2026.

When you log in after that date, you will simply find the billing-related pages in the new Billing section as described above.

Your existing data (addresses, payment methods, invoices, funds, credits, etc.) will all be present in the new layout – just organized under the new menus.

Here are a few key points to remember:

  • The navigation labels and location of pages are changing, but your billing information remains intact. You’re not losing any data; it’s just presented in a more user-friendly way.

  • No changes to your billing or payment schedule are caused by the UI update alone. (The billing cycle changes and new payment options mentioned in our announcement are separate improvements; see our other guides for those details.)

  • If you had bookmarks or knew exact paths for the old pages (Real-Time Billing, Invoices, etc.), be aware that after April 15, 2026, you should navigate via the new Billing section to find that information.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is the current invoice date, and how will it change starting May 1, 2026?

Currently, invoices are generated on the 4th–5th of each month (delayed). Starting May 1, 2026, they’ll be issued on the 1st of each month (on-time). This provides a more predictable billing cycle and more time to manage payments.

Q: What are my available payment options?

Starting April 15, 2026, you can add multiple payment methods instead of just one. PayPal will be available for recurring payments, along with the one-time payments we already support.

Q. Can I download my invoices, and in what formats?

Yes! You can download your invoices in PDF format. Starting May 1, 2026, CSV format will also be available for download for new invoices issued after this date.

Q: Will I still be able to pay manually?

Yes! You can still add prepaid payments using cards or PayPal.

Q: What if I see an error in my invoice?

Reach out via live chat or email us at [email protected] — our team will investigate and resolve any issues.

Q: Will I lose my billing history?

No. All historical invoices and payment records are preserved.

Q: Will I receive invoices for added funds?

No, fund additions are credits—not invoiced. But you’ll see them reflected on your billing overview.

Q: What are ‘carry-forward’ charges?

To ensure invoices are generated on the 1st of each month, the usage data of specific AWS and GCE resources (e.g., bandwidth, disk, snapshots) from the final 2–3 days of the month will be billed in the following cycle. Since these details arrive late from our providers, they will appear as "carry-forward" line items starting in May 2026.

That’s it! We hope this article was helpful.
