The New Cloudways Interface represents a complete redesign of our hosting platform, designed to provide better performance, enhanced security features, and streamlined workflows.

This guide will help you navigate the changes and understand how features have been reorganized.

Note:

The Classic (Old) Cloudways UI is being gradually phased out. We recommend transitioning to the New Interface to access the latest features, performance upgrades, and security tools. You can switch to the New Interface by opening your account/profile dropdown and selecting “Switch to New Experience.”

This guide is your go-to resource for making the switch smooth and simple.

Why We Reimagined the Cloudways Experience?

Cloudways has evolved significantly over time with evolving user needs and consequently our product portfolio. The New UI is our effort to create a more intuitive, secure, and performant hosting management experience. Our intent is to make server and application management more focused and accessible while providing advanced features that weren't possible in the Classic UI.

This new design:

  • Gives you more control with comprehensive security management and advanced server tools

  • Draws more emphasis to your applications and servers with a cleaner dashboard

  • Makes features more intuitive by improving their placement and logical grouping

Note: The new Cloudways UI isn’t just a visual update — it’s a complete upgrade to how you manage your hosting. From better performance to easier navigation and powerful new features, everything is designed to help you get more done, faster.

What's different in the New Interface?

This section highlights what has changed and where you’ll now find your most important tools.

A Centralized Cloudways Dashboard

The first thing you’ll notice is the completely redesigned dashboard — your new homepage for managing everything in your Cloudways account.

Here’s what the new dashboard includes:

Cloudways Copilot

Stay on top of your infrastructure with real-time monitoring and proactive incident detection. Copilot gives you troubleshooting insights into performance issues before they impact your users. And also lets you automatically fix them with Copilot SmartFix.

It is gradually being rolled out to all Cloudways Flexible users till the end of September 2025.

Product Tiles

Access Cloudways Flexible, Autonomous, and Client Billing directly from the homepage. This tile-based layout allows you to quickly choose which product or service you want to manage.

Recently Created Applications

Jump back into your most recently created applications with one click — no need to dig through menus.

Resource Center

Get the help you need, right when you need it. The Resource Center offers direct access to support articles, getting started guides, and troubleshooting steps — all within the dashboard.

Sidebar Navigation

One of the biggest improvements in the New UI is the persistent left-hand sidebar. This vertical navigation menu gives you fast, organized access to all critical areas of your account — no matter where you are on the platform.

Here’s what you’ll find in the sidebar:

  • Home – Overview of your hosting environment

  • Cloudways Flexible – All your servers and applications

  • Cloudways Autonomous – Fully managed autoscaling hosting

  • Client Billing & Reporting – Billing details, payment settings, and usage reports

  • Integrations – Find all add-ons and integrations in one place (Formerly called Partner Hub)

  • Support Center – Access the support center, knowledge base, and support tickets

  • Teams – Manage user access and collaborate with team members

  • Projects – Group your applications under specific projects for better organization

  • Affiliate – This will provide you with instant access to Cloudways affiliate program

  • API Tools and More – Explore new features, suggest improvements and access to API integration

This new layout makes switching between different parts of the platform easier and more intuitive.

Your servers & apps are now inside “Cloudways Flexible”

Your servers and applications are now grouped under a dedicated section called Cloudways Flexible, accessible via:

  • The dashboard product tiles

  • The sidebar menu

This change provides a focused view of your infrastructure, along with faster load times, smarter grouping, and easier navigation. Whether you're managing one app or several servers, Cloudways Flexible keeps everything organized in one place.

Note:

Can’t find a feature where it used to be? Don’t worry — everything from the Classic UI is still here, just better organized. Use the sidebar and dashboard tiles to quickly jump to your servers, apps, billing, and support.

These capabilities are designed to give you more control, better visibility, and stronger security over your servers and applications.

Advanced Security Management and Monitoring

(Powered by Imunify360 – Click Here to read the full article)

Integrated with Imunify360, our new security suite provides a complete set of tools to protect your servers and applications in real-time.

Server-Level Security Features:

  • Security Overview
Get a real-time snapshot of attack patterns, server health, and event monitoring — all in one place.

  • Incident Management
View detailed logs of security incidents, monitor intrusion attempts, and take immediate action such as banning IPs or restoring access.

  • Firewall Controls
Create custom firewall rules, block traffic by country or IP, and manage white lists/black lists directly through a user-friendly interface.

  • Shell Access Management
Easily enable or disable SSH/SFTP and MySQL access — giving you more control over who can connect to your servers and how.

Application-Level Security Features:

  • Incident Logs
View security events and application-level vulnerabilities with actionable insights.

  • Malware Protection (Paid Add-On)
Automate malware scanning, detection, and removal — helping protect your website from malicious code and injections.

  • Vulnerability Scanner
Proactively scan your application’s codebase to identify and fix known vulnerabilities before they become a threat.

These features are exclusively available on the New UI and are part of our mission to provide a more secure hosting environment out of the box — no third-party tools or manual workarounds required.

Password Protection for Applications

In the New Cloudways UI, you can easily enable password protection for both Staging & Live applications to restrict public access.

This is useful when sharing apps or unfinished projects privately with clients or collaborators.

You’ll find this option under the Application Access Details section in your app settings.

Bulk Domain Management

Managing multiple domains is now faster with the new Bulk Domain Addition inside "Domain Management". You can add and configure several domains at once, saving time and reducing repetitive tasks — especially helpful for agencies and users with multi-site setups.

Advanced Server Cloning

Server cloning has more advanced options in the New UI. You can now duplicate entire servers — including apps, credentials, domains, cron jobs, SSL certificates, and CDN settings — in just a few clicks. It’s perfect for testing, scaling, or replicating environments quickly and reliably.

One-Click Cache Purge

Clearing your application cache is now simpler than ever. The New UI includes a one-click Purge Site Cache button, allowing you to instantly remove cached data and view the most up-to-date version of your website without needing extra tools or plugins.

More Performance Features/Options in the New Cloudways UI

The New UI isn’t just about aesthetics — it unlocks access to a new level of performance. With upgraded server options, an improved web stack, and powerful caching tools, your applications will load faster, run smoother, and scale better than ever before.

New General Purpose & CPU-Optimized Servers (DO, Vultr, Linode)

Cloudways now offers the latest General Purpose and CPU-Optimized server types from DigitalOcean, Vultr, and Linode.

  • General Purpose servers offer a balanced mix of CPU and memory, ideal for everyday workloads.

  • CPU-Optimized servers deliver high performance for compute-heavy applications like large-scale websites or traffic spikes.

These options are exclusive to the New UI and provide better stability, speed, and scalability.

New Lightning Web Stack (Public Preview)

Now available as a public preview, the Lightning Stack is our fastest web stack to date — delivering up to 20% faster performance. Designed for speed and efficiency, it’s ideal for dynamic websites, especially WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP-based apps.

Object Cache Pro for WordPress

Included in the New UI, Object Cache Pro uses Redis-based caching to dramatically reduce database load by storing frequently accessed data in memory. This results in much faster page loads and a smoother browsing experience — especially for dynamic WordPress sites.

Redis & Object Cache Pro is enabled by default on WordPress apps (except clean versions) on Cloudways New Interface.
