How to Install a Plugin from Partner Hub During Server Activation
Installing a plugin from Partner Hub is simple and takes only a few clicks. During server activation, you’ll see a list of available plugins that you can add right away to your WordPress application.
Important — Partner Hub Plugin Installation
When adding a server or application, Cloudways automatically validates and installs the Partner Hub plugin.
If license validation fails (for example, due to an invalid license or temporary connectivity issues), Cloudways will ignore the plugin error and still complete the server or application creation.
Result:
• Server/application is created successfully
• Partner Hub plugin may not be installed or activated
If needed, please verify the license status and reinstall the plugin after resolving the issue.
Steps to Install a Plugin from Partner Hub During Server Activation:
Sign up for Cloudways and go through all the required details.
click Launch Now to launch your server.
3. During the activation flow, Partner Hub will appear and display available plugins.
4. Select the plugin(s) you’d like to install and click Install. You can select multiple plugins as well to install.
5. Complete the activation process as shown below. It can take a few minutes.
6. The chosen plugins will automatically install in their Lite version.
Result: Your WordPress app is ready with reliable plugins pre-installed and available for use immediately.
Tip:
You can Upgrade to Pro! If you have a license, paste it into the Cloudways console. Cloudways will switch the plugin to the Pro version and activate it automatically.
How to Install a Plugin from Partner Hub While Adding an Application
When you create a new application on Cloudways, the Partner Hub will also appear in the setup flow. From here, you can pick the plugins you want, and they’ll be installed automatically with your WordPress application.
Steps to Install a Plugin from Partner Hub While Adding Application:
From the Cloudways Platform, navigate to the tab on the left and click on My Applications as shown below.
2. Now, select the Applications tab and click on Add Application as shown below.
3. Select your desired application (e.g., WordPress), name your app, and select the project it will belong to. Then, click Add Application to continue. (Learn more about New Cloudways Lightning Stack by reading this blog)
4. During the application setup, you’ll see a section labeled Plugins under Enhance your Application with Cloudways Integration. This is where available Partner Hub plugins are displayed.
5. Check the box next to the plugin(s) you’d like to install (You can also select multiple plugins). For example, you can select Omnisend to have it automatically installed with your application. Click Install.
6. Cloudways will set up your application and install the chosen plugin(s) at the same time.
7. After the process is complete, you’ll see a confirmation message showing that your application has been added successfully and the plugin(s) have been installed.
Result: Your new WordPress application is ready with the selected plugin(s) already installed, saving you time and effort after setup.

Select Omnisend in Partner Hub during server activation and complete the setup.
Go to your WordPress admin panel → Plugins → Installed Plugins → make sure Omnisend is active.
Open Omnisend in WordPress and connect your store with your Omnisend account.
(Optional) Add your Pro license in the Cloudways console to switch to the Pro version.

Managing Partner Licenses (Lite ↔ Pro)
Switch to Pro: Enter your license key in Partner Hub settings. The Pro plugin will install and activate automatically.
Go Back to Lite: Remove the license and deactivate the Pro plugin. The Lite version will remain active.

Troubleshooting Common Issues
Plugin Didn’t Install After Activation
Reopen the app in the Cloudways console and check Partner Hub status.
In WordPress, go to Plugins and confirm installation. If missing, install it from the WordPress repository.
Retry the activation process. If the problem continues, contact Cloudways Support with your app ID and server ID.
Pro License Not Activating
Re-enter the license in the Cloudways console and wait for confirmation.
Ensure that no security plugin is blocking outgoing requests.
If using a staging site, re-apply the license on the target site (some licenses are domain-bound).
Omnisend Data Not Syncing
Check that WooCommerce has read/write API permissions enabled. Click here for more details.
Temporarily deactivate other CRM or marketing plugins to avoid conflicts.
