Will IP Address(es) be Changed on the Recovery of My Deleted Server(s)?

Yes. Once your server(s) are deleted by our system due to non-payment or lack of funds, the attached IP address(es) will be released and assigned to the new server(s). You will get a different IP address after the recovery of your deleted server(s) and will need to update your DNS settings for your website(s).For precise DNS updates, log in to your DNS provider's dashboard and update the A records to point to the new server IP address. For example:

  • Type: A

  • Host: @ (root domain)

  • Value: [NEW_SERVER_IP]

  • TTL: Auto Make sure to remove any old A records pointing to a previous IP.

Thus, to avoid this inconvenience, please make sure to pay your dues on time and maintain at least 50% server charges on your Cloudways account.Maintaining updated payment information ensures uninterrupted service and reduces risks of server deletion due to unpaid invoices.Additionally, consider downloading periodic backups and integrating third-party backup solutions to safeguard your data. Use monitoring tools to proactively address server performance and downtime issues.
