Keeping your billing information up to date ensures smooth and uninterrupted service on the Cloudways Platform.
Whether you’ve received a new credit card, changed your billing address, or updated your business details, you can easily modify your billing information directly from your Cloudways account.
This article explains, in simple steps, how to update your payment method, billing address, and other related details.
The process is quick, secure, and requires no technical knowledge — so you can manage your billing preferences confidently and without any hassle.
Note:
Our new billing system now supports multiple payment methods, including Credit/Debit Cards and PayPal (manual and recurring).
How Do I Change My Billing Information?
Follow the steps below to change your billing information on the Cloudways Platform.
Step #1:
Log in to Cloudways Platform.
Go to billing by clicking on your profile icon at the top-right of the dashboard, then select Billing from the dropdown.
Step #2:
You’ll land on the Billing → Overview tab.
Click on the Settings tab.
Step #3:
In the Settings tab, click ‘Edit Details’ under the Billing Address section.
Step #4:
Update the required fields like address, city, company name, and postal code. Once you have updated the information, click ‘Save Changes’.
Step #5:
Under the Tax Location section, review your country and tax jurisdiction.
Click on “How do I change my tax location?” if you need to update this information. This will take you to the Knowledge Base article where you can learn how to update this information.
Scroll to the Payment Method section and click on the three-dot menu next to your existing card if you want to change any information.
Step #6:
Select Edit and make necessary changes to your card info. Then, click the Update Payment Method to save.
Step #7:
In order to add a new payment method, click Add Payment Method.
Step #8:
Choose your payment type (Credit/Debit Card or PayPal), fill in the required details, and click Add Payment Method to complete.
Note:
On Card Verification, Stripe may place a temporary authorization charge ($1–$10) to verify your card. This amount is automatically reversed after successful verification and does not reflect a real charge.
Classical Interface - How to Change your Billing Information:
If you are still using Classical Interface, following the steps below.
Step #1:
On your Cloudways dashboard, open the Account menu by going to the top-right corner and click on the user icon next to the search bar.
This will open a dropdown menu, click on ‘Account’.
Step #2:
On the left sidebar of the Account page, click on the “Billing” tab (just below “Account”).
Step #3:
You’ll see a message indicating that billing has been moved to the unified billing experience.
Now, click on the “GO TO BILLING” button to access the new billing interface.
From this point, you’ll be redirected to the New Billing Interface.
