How to Send Alerts to Your Team Members via Channels

One of the exciting features of our smart CloudwaysBot is Channels. This feature helps you and your team receive real-time CloudwaysBot notifications on your favorite channels like Slack, HipChat, Email, etc.

For example, if you are an account owner and would like your team members to deal with different application/server-related alerts/recommendations, you can set Channels in CloudwaysBot for that.

How to Send Alerts to Your Team Members via Channels

Step #1 - Access CloudwaysBot:

Step #2 - Create a Channel:

  • Head over to the Channels panel and click on Add Channel.

  • From the Select Channel drop-down menu, select Email. Add your team members’ email addresses and names.

  • Then select the events you would like your team member to receive notifications for. Then click on Save and Test Channel.

Alternatively, if your Team is using Slack, you can select them as Channels from the drop-down menu and subscribe to your Slack/HipChat for different CloudwaysBot Notifications events.

Your team member(s) should now receive all notifications you have selected.

There are no limits to the number of channels you create.

Are email notifications sent only to team members?
