How to Rename Your Application and Server

Learn how to easily rename your Cloudways applications and servers for better organization and identification using Cloudways Platform.

Cloudways enables you to launch and manage applications and servers to host your websites. If you need to change the names you initially assigned to your servers and applications for easier identification, you can do so effortlessly using the Cloudways Platform.

How to Rename Your Application and Server

First of all, please select your platform:

Cloudways Flexible

In Cloudways Flexible, you can rename your application and server.

Log in to your Cloudways Platform using your credentials.

  1. From the top menu bar, open Servers.

  2. Next, choose the server where your desired application is deployed.

  3. Click the globe icon.

  4. Next, choose your application.

  5. Click Quick Actions to open the menu.

  6. Select Rename to rename your application.

  7. Type in your new application name and click Save.

How to Rename Your Server

Log in to your Cloudways Platform using your credentials.

  1. From the top menu bar, open Servers.

  2. Next, choose your desired server.

  3. Click Quick Actions to open the menu.

  4. Select Rename to rename your application.

  5. Type in your new server name and click Save.

Cloudways Autonomous

In Cloudways Autonomous, you can rename your application.

How to Rename Your Application

Log in to your Cloudways Platform using your credentials.

  1. From the left menu bar, select Cloudways Autonomous and click My Applications.

  2. Next, choose your desired application from here.

  3. Click Quick Actions to open the menu.

  4. Select Rename to rename your application.

  5. Type in your new application name and click Save.
